About Upward Call & Shepherd's Touch
One of my dreams is for our agency to be able to offer more educational opportunities. I am delighted to announce that we have recently been blessed with the resources to move forward in this area. We have launched a series of seminars for the public, and have already presented classes on communication, finances, and depression. Future workshops are slated on topics such as Hurts of the 2012 Teenager, Blended Families, and Caring for the Caregiver. We are also offering a training program for pastors in Marriage and Family Counseling. We are also relocating our facility in New Holland to 441 S. Kinzer Avenue. We will be sharing facilities with Elanco Social Service Network, on the grounds of Garden Spot Village. We are excited about this partnership and the strength it can bring to both agencies. I want to extend an invitation to attend our fundraising banquet in April. You will hear moving testimonies of what God is doing in the lives of our clients. You will laugh and cry as you hear from our featured speaker, Rev. David Hess, Pastor of Christ Community Church in Camp Hill. I was privileged to teach Dave as a student at Evangelical Theological Seminary, and he has gone on to lead a thriving congregation with an active counseling ministry. Most of all, you will hear his testimony on overcoming cancer through a combination of medical care and God's healing touch. His book, "Hope Beyond Reason," will be available at the banquet.
